Fish Ladder Waterfall on Moisie (Katchapahun)753 viewsAt the Fish Ladder we took a portage on river right. It is a very steep path up, along a path behind the cliffy hill. Despite the steep profile, the path is relatively in a good shape. Nice camp on the other side, lots of boardwalk & the cabin. We portaged around first R3 (ledge) using the boardwalk.

Moisie - Railroad bridge over Trestle rapid525 viewsWe hiked up to the bridge - there is a nice staircase there, first wooden, then steel. While we were on the bridge, locomotive came and we had to run to hide. Later Paul & Joe claimed they saw another person somewhere up there. Maybe it was a ghost? Ghost of a drowned paddler...

my pyramid tent last winter647 viewsUsed "deadmen" to hold the guylines as my steel spikes wouldn't drive into the heavily iced ground. Changed my bazooko stove chimney to 4 inch as the size and weight of 5 inch was way too much.
